What might have happened... Joshua Wright, owner of Pop's Market on Grace, posts a limited menu one day a week on Facebook. Patrons order via email. Joshua's mother bags and brings the orders to the table. My favorite place in the neighborhood. Tonight it's Creamy Pesto Sauce Pasta with mushrooms, Roma tomatoes, cannellini beans, herbs and Parmesan cheese, plus a freshly baked baguette with LemonThyme Cannellini Bean Hummus.
The Town of Hill by Donald Hall Back of the dam, under a flat pad of water, church bells ring in the ears of lilies, a child’s swing curls in the current of a yard, horned pout sleep in a green mailbox, and a boy walks from a screened porch beneath the man-shaped leaves of an oak down the street looking at the town of Hill that water covered forty years ago, and the screen door shuts under dream water. reminiscent of homes, farms and towns that existed on north fork of the Cowlitz River before the construction of the Mayfield (1963) and Mossyrock (1968) dams by Tacoma City Light - memories of vacant land with tree stumps waiting to be covered by water
